“Ботай - мыңжылдық жолымен”
On May 22, 2023, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Bozok” held an international scientific and practical conference titled “Traditional Rituality as a Manifestation of Remembering Culture: Resources and Strategies of Symbolic Capital of Steppe Eurasia”. The event was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003), the 10th anniversary of the Concept on the Protection and Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Republic of Kazakhstan (2013), and the 25th anniversary of the beginning of research on the medieval settlement “Bozok” (1998).

Today, May 19, the Director of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”, Shakshakov Kuanysh Gibadatovich, and the museum’s research associate, Khairgeldinov Ruslan Yerlanovich, took part in the informational and educational program “Кокше нуры” on the “Kókshe” TV channel, dedicated to International Museum Day.
“Ботай пырағы – 2023”
On May 18, 2023, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”, as part of the “Night of Museums” campaign, held the festival “Ботай пырағы – 2023,” dedicated to International Museum Day.
Excursion
Staff of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” conducted a guided tour through the museum’s exhibition hall as well as around the Botai settlement for Irish-American journalist Peter Leonard.
