On September 11, 2023, the staff of the Botai State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve conducted a thematic guided tour of the exhibition hall of the Botai Museum-Reserve for a resident of Petropavlovsk.

A research fellow of the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, head of the Laboratory of Zooarchaeology and PhD doctoral candidate, Shagirbayev Mambet Saparbekovich, is working within the framework of the ПЦФ -3 project No. BR18574223, “Northern Kazakhstan in the context of cultural and historical processes: from the Stone Age to ethnographic modernity,” on the study of artifacts from the Botai Settlement.

On September 4, 2023, the Republican State Enterprise “State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve ‘Botai’” organized the official opening of the traveling exhibition “Botai. At the Origins of Civilization” at the Akmola Regional Museum of History and Local Lore in the city of Kokshetau. The event was held within the framework of the 5th anniversary celebration of the Botai Museum-Reserve. The exhibition was opened with a welcoming speech by Sabitova Aigul Baubekovna, Head of the Department of Culture of the Akmola Region. A total of 97 exhibits were presented, showcasing the Botai Culture. Among them were a model of a dwelling, a human skull with traces of trepanation, bone harpoons and knives, as well as other artifacts. Visitors were also presented with important artworks dedicated to the Botai culture. In addition, a master class was held as an interactive element of the ancient Botai culture, demonstrating the process of making ceramic vessels.
