
On June 4, 2025, on the Day of the State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republican State Enterprise “State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve ‘Botai’” of the Committee of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized an excursion to the protected zone for children from the Center for Support of Children in Need of Special Social Services of Aiyrtau District. The area features ancient archaeological settlements, historical monuments, and the picturesque nature of Aiyrtau District in North Kazakhstan Region.
The staff of the Botai Museum-Reserve conducted a teambuilding event in an interactive and game-based format for the children’s recreation.

This museum-reserve is dedicated to the history and culture of the Botai culture — an archaeological monument of the Eneolithic period that existed in Northern Kazakhstan in the 4th millennium BCE.
On May 30, 2025, the staff of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” organized a lecture dedicated to anti-corruption efforts.
At the event, V.A. Iskrizhitsky delivered a presentation in which he addressed manifestations of corruption, including abuse of official powers, bribery, and actions driven by personal interest, and provided a detailed overview of mechanisms for their prevention.
The State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” annually conducts practical archaeological excavations in cooperation with students.
This year, archaeological practice for first-year students of the “Geography–History” educational program of Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau University has started at the Botai settlement.
A total of 49 students are participating in the archaeological practice, including 27 girls and 22 boys.
The students are actively involved in the fieldwork. During the practice, they will become familiar with archaeological sites as a special type of historical source, general excavation rules, and traditional and modern methods of archaeological excavation.
The staff of the Republican State Enterprise “State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve ‘Botai’” actively participated in the qualifying tournament of the Spartakiad among institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
