
On August 19, 2025, students from schools of the Shal Akyn District of North Kazakhstan Region visited the Botai Museum-Reserve.
An excursion was organized for the students in the museum’s exhibition hall. During the visit, museum staff shared information about the discovery, history, and research of the Botai culture. The students were also introduced to materials on the reconstruction of ancient Botai dwellings, the domestication of wild horses, and the ceramics of the Botai culture.
During the excursion, the students saw ancient tools and weapons used in everyday life by the Botai people and gained unforgettable impressions.
On August 13, 2025, a unique international scientific seminar–teambuilding event titled “Botai and Turan – Foundations of the Turkic World” was held at the unique archaeological settlement of Botai, bringing together representatives of science, culture, and government representatives.
The seminar was attended by scholars from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Tatarstan, Yakutia, and the Republic of Bashkortostan within the Russian Federation, as well as residents of the district and region.
The staff of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” continue a challenge dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the thinker, poet, and educator Abai Kunanbayev.
The employees recited Abai’s poems in Kazakh, Russian, Turkish, and English, recreating his deeply meaningful poetic works.
This challenge is a tribute to the memory of Abai Kunanbayev.
On August 9, in the heart of the Imantau–Shalkar resort area at the “Turpan” recreation base, we opened the doors to the Ancient World for our guests.
As part of the Drive Forum festival, a unique chapter of North Kazakhstan’s history was presented — an exhibition of artifacts and paintings of the Botai culture.
Guests were able to enjoy artworks inspired by the Botai culture and rare archaeological finds.
On July 30, 2025, students from the secondary school of Aiyrtau village, Aiyrtau District, North Kazakhstan Region, visited the Botai Museum-Reserve.
An excursion was conducted for the schoolchildren in the exhibition hall of the Botai Museum-Reserve.
