On 23 February, a board meeting of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives was held in the city of Petropavlovsk. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Akim of the North Kazakhstan Region Zhusup Zhumagulov, with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sabit Barlybayev.

During the meeting, Director of the Botai State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, Sabina Karimovna Amirova, delivered a report on the institution’s activities and its future development prospects.

The report presented the key results achieved in 2025 and outlined strategic priorities for the further development of the museum-reserve. Particular attention was given to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, the promotion of the culture of the Great Steppe, and the expansion of excursion and educational activities.

On this significant occasion, the republican competition “Best Tourist Guide” was held, bringing together professionals from various regions of the country. The competition served as a platform for exchanging experience, demonstrating professional excellence, creative approaches, and in-depth knowledge in the field of history and culture.

The main objective of the competition was to enhance the prestige of the tourist guide profession, promote the development of excursion activities, support talented specialists, and popularize historical and cultural heritage.
