From February 10 to 21, 2025, research associates of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai,” Marat S. Makeev and Madeniet M. Kuttybay, carried out a research visit to the A. Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology in the city of Almaty.

The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience in the field of preservation and protection of cultural heritage sites, as stipulated in the memorandum of cooperation, as well as to exchange the results of scientific research and to organize joint activities in various areas.

During the visit, the research staff became acquainted with the laboratories of zooarchaeology, anthropology, and osteology, and also reviewed research work conducted within these laboratories.
