
Today, in the village of Saumalkol of the Ayyrtau District, an important international meeting was held at the building of the “AMANAT” Party, initiated by the Botai State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.
The event was attended by Professor of the University of Exeter, renowned researcher Alan Outram (United Kingdom), during which current issues in the study of the Botai culture were discussed.
The following topics were considered within the framework of the meeting:
– modern scientific approaches to the issue of horse domestication at Botai;
– arguments addressing critical perspectives;
– prospective plans for joint research with Kazakhstani colleagues;
– promotion of the Botai culture in the international academic arena.
The meeting was also attended by prominent Kazakhstani archaeologist Talgat Mamirov, who shared his professional experience.
The parties discussed issues of further cooperation, exchange of scientific data, and the implementation of joint projects.
Following the meeting, the signing of an international memorandum on scientific cooperation is planned.
This initiative is aimed at advancing research on the Botai culture and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan at the global level.
