The Republican State Enterprise “State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve ‘Botai’” of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on July 10, 2023, within the framework of the 5th anniversary of the Botai Museum-Reserve and the 15th anniversary of the Berel Museum-Reserve, held the official opening of the traveling exhibition “Botai. At the Origins of Civilization” in the ethnography hall of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Berel” in the Katon-Karagay District of the East Kazakhstan Region. The opening ceremony began with welcoming speeches by the directors of the museum-reserves. A total of 140 exhibits were presented at the exhibition, showcasing the Botai Culture. Among them were a model of a dwelling, a human skull with traces of trepanation, and tools and weapons of the Botai culture made of bone and stone.

The exhibition will run until August 10.
