On June 7, 2023, in the Aiyrtau District of the North Kazakhstan Region, in the village of Botai Settlement, a field seminar was organized on the topic “Ботай мәдениеті-ұлт шежіресі”.

After the completion of the official part of the seminar, a ceremony was held to initiate students into the ranks of archaeologists.

Over the course of these two weeks, the participants of the excavations developed an interest in the history of their native land not only as workers, but also as future archaeologists. During this time, they became fully familiar with the methodological aspects of excavation work and learned how to work with archaeological tools.

According to archaeological traditions, during the farewell ceremony for the newly arrived participants, an initiation ceremony into the ranks of archaeologists was held. During the ceremony, the students were divided into two groups, participated in engaging games involving the overcoming of various obstacles, and read oath texts.

At the end of the event, all students were awarded certificates of appreciation.
