On May 3, 2023, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” organized a historical and educational lecture for students of Antonov Secondary School on the eve of Victory Day, titled “Victory Day Will Forever Remain in the Memory of the Country,” as well as an exhibition featuring unique artifacts of the Botai culture.

During the lecture, participants were introduced to the wartime labor efforts of Yeslyambek Zakiriyauly, who was the first to show Professor V. F. Zaibert the remains of ancient horses and discovered artifacts that led to the identification of the Botai settlement.

The aim of the event was to instill in the younger generation a deep appreciation of history, following the principle “Nothing and no one is forgotten.” It sought to foster students’ love for national history, respect for the heroic deeds of those who did not live to see victory, respect for the history of their people, and the strengthening of friendship among representatives of different nationalities around the world.

The purpose of the lecture was to provide students with a deeper understanding of Botai culture, promote it, familiarize teenagers with the history of the region, and enhance their respect for the country and its historical heritage.

The session was conducted in the form of lectures, a question-and-answer session, and interactive games. Students were asked thematic questions and given cards with tasks, such as the modern state of horse breeding, methods of horse domestication, advantages of Botai dwellings, and the emergence of the earliest settlements, among others. The students provided detailed and comprehensive answers. In addition, they became closely acquainted with unique artifacts discovered at the Botai settlement.
