On March 23, 2023, the artist-restorer of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”, Tikhonov Yuri Borisovich, met with the children of the Aiyrtau District Child Support Center of the North Kazakhstan Region and organized an exhibition of his original artworks in the bright and cozy living room of the “Zhenimpazdar” family group. This event was an engaging activity that helped children imagine what the profession of an artist is like, learn how paintings are created, and understand how a creative person lives and thinks. During the event, the children became acquainted with Yuri Borisovich’s biography and creative work. He shared interesting stories about significant events in his life and about his work at the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”. Yuri Borisovich introduced the children to his paintings and conducted a master class on how to correctly draw a human face, how to mix paints, and how to work with brushes. The youngest participants sang a song and recited poems. The children prepared interesting questions for the guest, which he gladly answered. The Deputy Director for Educational Work, V. M. Naimantayeva, presented a letter of appreciation to Tikhonov Yu. B. on behalf of the children and staff of the Center. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
