On February 24, 2023, in the Makhambet District, the Republican State Enterprise State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Sarayshyk”, held the opening of the Republican traveling exhibition dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Botai and Sarayshyk museum-reserves on the theme “Ботай мұрасы-ұрпаққа аманат”.

At the ceremonial event, Bekbaeva G., Head of the Sector of the Department of Internal Policy, Culture, Language Development and Sports of the Makhambet District, delivered a welcoming speech and presented a letter of appreciation from the Akim of the Makhambet District, Nurlybayev K., to the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”.

The exhibition featured bone tools used in everyday life, such as a bone knife, bone harpoon, needle, and lancet, as well as stone tools including axes, discs, drills, knives, ceramic fragments, and clothing of a Botai woman. An interactive element of ancient Botai culture was also demonstrated, including a special master class on ceramic production. Botai culture attracted great interest among the exhibition visitors.

The exhibition will continue until March 6.
