On February 9, 2023, the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” organized an exhibition titled “Botai – The Culture of the Great Steppe” for students of the Higher Multidisciplinary College of Civil Defense in the city of Kokshetau.

A total of 47 artifacts were presented, which were used by the Botai people in everyday life, such as knives, scrapers, axes, needles, stamps, and others. A special interactive master class was also demonstrated, showcasing an element of ancient Botai culture—the making of a ceramic vessel.

In addition, the students were presented with a model of a Botai dwelling and traditional clothing of a Botai woman. The aim of the exhibition was to promote and popularize the Botai settlement as a heritage site, and to foster in young people a sense of love for their homeland and respect for its history and culture.
