On January 20, 2023, an extended collegium meeting was held in Astana with the participation of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, A. S. Kulginov. The meeting took place at the “Kazmedia Center”. The director of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”, K. G. Shakshakov, took part in the meeting.

The Minister of Culture and Sports, Askhats Razdykovich Oryalov, outlined the main goals and development strategies for the cultural sector, as well as plans for 2023. The Vice Minister, N. M. Daueshev, presented a report on the results of 2022. During the meeting, issues related to the importance and development of each sector were discussed. Various aspects of the cultural sphere were considered, including training personnel and creating appropriate working conditions in the field of culture.

Issues related to the development of Kazakh literature, current challenges in the national film industry, archival affairs, and the theater sector were also addressed. In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of attracting young people and new ideas for the development of the cultural sector.
