State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”

of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan

In honor of the 5th anniversary of its establishment, RSE the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai” announces the holding of a republican competition on the theme: “Botai culture—the heritage of ancestors”.

Purpose of the competition:

To foster a sense of patriotism among the younger generation and promote Botai culture. To encourage interest in the study of the history of Kazakhstan, the region, and Botai culture. To develop creative skills among students and promote creative expression within the region.

Submission period:

16.01.2023 – 06.02.2023

Announcement of results:

13.02.2023

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Preschool children, students of grades 8–10 of general education schools, educational institutions, and learning centers.

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS:

• The creative work must correspond to the stated theme of the competition.
• It must be original and done in an individual style (originality and a personal/author’s style).
• The work may be created on any material (whatman paper, canvas, etc.) and in any technique (oil, watercolor, gouache, colored pencils).

CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION:

• Since the competition will be held in a remote (online) format, the application form (according to the attached template) and the creative work must be sent to the email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.   
• Works must be digitized in JPG, DOC, or MP4 format.
• To confirm the authenticity of the work, several photos of the creation process must also be submitted (including an image of the potential participant).

EVALUATION OF RESULTS AND AWARDING:

• Based on the jury’s decision, the competition committee will determine the winner. The final decision of the jury is final and not subject to revision.
• Winners will be awarded diplomas of I, II, and III degree.
• The name of the creative supervisor or mentor will also be indicated in the award certificate.
• It is necessary to fully complete all fields indicated in Appendix 1 of the competition.
