
On October 28, 2022, as part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University, an exhibition presenting valuable exhibits of Botai culture was held at the “Bolashaq Sarai” Palace of Childhood and Youth. Attention of guests and participants of the event was presented the scientific project “Archaeological scientific-experimental research at the Botai settlement and modeling of life-support systems and worldview-sacred contexts of the carriers of Botai culture”. The project is being implemented from 2021 to 2023. Within the framework of the project, archaeological research has been carried out at the Botai settlement, the monuments of Krasny Yar, Vasilkovka. In addition, the exterior and interior design of an experimental Botai dwelling was modeled and then completed, the monograph “Lifestyle and worldview of the Botai person” is being prepared for publication. The conducted archaeological research has great scientific and practical significance, during which 9000 exhibits were discovered. In 2021–2022, 20 monuments of Botai culture on the territory of Akmola, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar regions were systematized and included in scientific circulation. An extensive osteological, flint, ceramic material was collected - part of the artifacts was presented at today’s exhibition. A kind of master class, an interactive element of ancient Botai culture on the production of a ceramic vessel, was also demonstrated. The work of the exhibition and scientific projects was reviewed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scientists and representatives of the public.
