From October 27 to 29, 2022, in the city of Zhezkazgan, Ulytau Region, at the Zhezkazgan Kazakh Musical and Drama Theatre named after S. Kozhamkulov, an international scientific-practical conference on the topic “Алтын Орданың тарихи-мәдени мұрасы” was held. Organized by the National Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve “Ulytau”

Delegates from all over the country took part in this event, as well as scientists and professors from Turkey, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Finland, and Ukraine. The event was also attended by the Director of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”, Kuanysh Gibadatovich Shakshakov, and the researcher of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Botai”, Ruslan Erlanovich Khairgeldinov. The conference began with a speech by the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dauren Askerbekovich Abaev.

The aim of the conference is the study, preservation, and popularization of the tangible and intangible heritage of the Golden Horde, as well as the development of measures to improve the protection of monuments, including the development of tourism that forms the international image of Kazakhstan.
