During the 2022 summer field season, archaeological research was carried out at the Botai settlement near the village of Nikolskoye in Aiyrtau District of the North Kazakhstan Region and at the Botai culture site of Krasny Yar (located within the boundaries of the city of Kokshetau). Teachers of history and geography from the North Kazakhstan Region took an active part in the excavations and showed great educational interest in archaeology.

In issue No. 32 dated August 30, 2022, of the republican socio-political newspaper “Білімді Ел” (“Educated Nation”), an article by history teacher Assel Baymakanova from Tokushin School-Gymnasium of Akkayin District, North Kazakhstan Region, titled “Archaeological Holidays at the Botai Settlement” was published. In this article, the teacher shares with newspaper readers the positive emotions and impressions received from the archaeological excavations. In the publication, Assel notes the high level of organization by the administration of the State Museum-Reserve “Botai” in conducting archaeological research and providing quality leisure activities during free time from work. She also expresses gratitude to the Department of Education and the Center for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the North Kazakhstan Region.
